Satco is founded by Robert Looker

1969-70

Designed, tested, and certified the first all-aluminum, single-sheet air cargo pallet

1971-72

Invented the first-ever, knotted, woven-rope air cargo net

1982

Designed, tested and certified 20-foot and 16-foot all-aluminum, heavy-duty stringer cargo pallets

1984

Invented the cross-cable fabric-over-center container door

1985

Opened its first FAA-certified, 145-ULD repair station in Memphis, Tennessee

1995

Opened a FAA-certified, 145-ULD repair station in Louisville, Kentucky

2003

Developed and patented an air transport modular container system for rapid deployment of critical materials throughout the U.S.

2011

Designed and successfully tested the first Fire Containment Cover (FCC)

2012

Redesigned a full line of lighter weight “Earth Smart” cargo containers and launched a weight reduction Fuel Sense modification program to reduce the tare weight of existing ULDs by up to 20 percent

2013

Designed and built the first-of-its-kind Fire Resistant Container (FRC)

2016

Invented Xpress, an improved, cross-cable, lower-deck container door
